I’m pretty sure everyone will agree with me when I say that planning a wedding is a lot of work. That’s why when Brandon and Nicole got engaged, they decided to elope. With the blessings of their families, they headed to Las Vegas one year ago to tie the knot. But even though their wedding was awesome, they missed having their family physically there. So for their 1-year anniversary, they gathered their family for an intimate vow renewal ceremony here in DeKalb over Memorial Day Weekend.
I was so excited when Nicole contacted me! Nicole and I went to school together, so I was looking forward to catching up with her, and meeting her husband. And let me tell you, they are seriously SO cute. It’s completely obvious how much Brandon loves Nicole. He had some very sweet surprises planned to make the day even more precious for her. One of which was her bouquet, which he gave to her right before we started pictures. It was so gorgeous and matched her beautiful hot pink dress perfectly!!
Nicole’s nieces and nephew came along for some family pictures, and they are soooo adorable!!!!
We started off at the Ellwood House
in DeKalb before heading over to the church for the ceremony.
The ceremony was held at Glad Tidings
, the church Nicole grew up in.
During the ceremony, they had planned to show the video of their vows in Vegas, so when they turned to watch it, Brandon surprised Nicole again with a slideshow of pictures of the two of them set to “Marry Me” by Train
. It was very sweet, and have to I confess, I got a little teary myself. 🙂
Wedding vows. 🙂
Congratulations, Nicole and Brandon, on one year of marriage!!! Here’s to many, many more!! 🙂
